a little about me! ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡

hailing from all over san gabriel valley in southern california, i’ve always been invested in the cultural identity of myself and those around me. since i was young, this has remained a constant - from following the latest trends within the asian-american community to seeing how the cultures i grew up with are perceived by broader audiences are just some examples.

nowadays, this has culminated into deep community analysis. research that i’ve conducted at williams and within programs include: analyzing online communities where minors and users 18+ are allowed to interact and discerning rates of sexual harassment and predatory behavior; identifying how the asian-american identity racially forms depending on the ethnic makeup of where one comes from; and how different generations react to political news dependent on their socialization. i’ve since focused on applying my personal interests with my academic interests, seeking to better understand how communities react and interact with one another while understanding the implications of culture, media, and more.

as such, i hope to continue working and exploring with diverse identities and groups academically, professionally, and within my own interests!
